I was thinking yesterday my synesthetic ability to “smell” characters - whether they’re real people in a photo or a fictional characters in comics, games, cartoons ect. I have never met anyone who could…
Synesthete right here! :D smelling characters sounds so cool!! >w</ I never even knew that could happen! My most prominent synesthesias have to do with touch, but I have sound/smell/taste/touch/personality/emotion/number/letter ->colour too, among others :). As for the touch ones though, pretty much anything can trigger a touch sensation for me. It can also be as light as a feather, to painful as being stabbed (though that has only happened once). Each touch can have a different texture and feel to it, as well as shape and sweep of motion. If the projected touch sensation is strong enough, it can even produce a colour sensation that would come with it if it was ‘actually’ happening to me. I love baking chocolate chip cookies because eating them when they are fresh out of the oven feels like someone is playing with my hair. Also I can’t listen to certain types of music without overloading because of all the touches, sights, tastes, and smells they bring to the table. I do anyways though, because they are beautiful and feel so gosh darn weird that they are almost addicting, in a way.
But yeah, jeez, I have a ton of different types of synesthesia! :) Chat me up any time dear! your experiences sound so cool! >w</
