1. Yesterday I gave my spare change to a homeless person

and two minutes later as we were walking down another street, an older Chinese woman smiled at me and gave me the only thing in her hands: An origami paper-star she made herself from the colourful section of a Chinese newspaper. Sappho was so confused. I felt magical. The world is a beautiful place when we sprinkle a little kindness into it. Even simple gestures like smiles and listening to others’ stories bring happiness to others. I felt like that woman and I had a secret connection in that moment; trying to brighten the lives of others with whatever we had at the time. She certainly had me beaming. I hope I can someday return the favour. <3

  2. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ AND REBLOG

My family and I are having to sell everything we own this weekend and we need people to come!! If you are in Calgary during the 15th and 16th of October Please come to our estate sale!! 300$ camera equipment is going for 2-10$! 2000$ couches for 1000$! 3000$ guitars for 1300! YOU’LL NEVER FIND PRICES LIKE THESE AND WE NEED THE MONEY TO SURVIVE. Please, reblog this if you think any of your followers may be interested and/or are in the Calgary region. It would help my family a hundred-fold, as we are dirt poor and becoming the equivalent of homeless right now. Please. Help us get the word out! We would be eternally grateful. Thank you.

  3. The plan. ((REALLY IMPORTANT SO PLEASE READ))

Important to the people that know me in real life because I may need your help…

So the plan. We are putting the house on the market to sell ASAP and auctioning off pretty much everything but the very necessities, and as soon as we get the house sold my mother will be (99% positive) be going to live in Ontario with her sister and try to get a job there. The thing is: I’m not going with her. Thus, I need to find living arrangements for the next year, and get another job ASAP so I can pay rent to whoever decides they want to keep me. All while upgrading the school marks that went down 20% when dad made his big announcement. Oog. Either way, I really don’t want to end up on the streets, and was wondering if sometime in the next few months, you and your families wouldn’t mind having a house-guest for a while (maybe for two weeks at a time per people willing, as I know cost of living is expensive and I’d just be another mouth to feed/waste of water supply). If any of you would be willing to take me in for longer than that, I will clean everything you own and become your personal slave until I have actual money to give you to pay rent *_*. But seriously, even if you would be willing to take me in for a couple of days, it would help me exponentially, and I would be forever in your debt ;__;. I don’t know just how soon/far out into the future I will need this, so I’m just asking now just in case. =And if you are wondering why I’m not going to Ontario with my mom, the fine print of the courses state I can’t leave the province to finish them.

As for item #2 on this list, this applies to everyone. I have a crap ton of old art books, how-to-draw books, books in general, and manga from my earlier days that I won’t be able to take with me wherever I go. Thus, I am selling everything. To the people that have seen my collection, tell me if you want anything from it and I will give you a price. Every penny counts toward my ability to feed myself and perhaps have enough money for a future education. To the rest of the internet, I will post pictures of the items I am selling in the near future. Please, don’t make me starve ;_;.

And thank you all for being so kind and supportive of me. You are all the sweetest people I have ever met and the kindest people I will ever know. You restore my faith in humanity. I love you all very dearly. Thank you for everything.

    Love,

    Your friend and sister, Ariel.
